Site in Focus
	Kirklees Valley \ Kirklees Brook $Kirklees Valley \ Kirklees Brook$ Kirklees Valley is a Site of Biological Importance (SBI) and the 5th Local Nature Reserve (LNR) to be declared in Bury (2010). The site has a long association with the industrial past and the remains of much of this industrial heritage continue to exert an influence on the appearance of the valley today. See "Site in Focus"

Species in Focus
	European Brown Hare First introduced to the UK by the Romans, it has become an iconic symbol of the British countryside. Hard to spot, apart from during the mating season when they can be seen chasing each other across fields and engaged in boxing displays, which is where the phrase, 'Mad as a March Hare' comes from.
